What was your favorite movie of 2009?
My favorite movie of 2009 was 500 Days of Summer.
This is not a love story. It's a story about love.
It wasn't the typical romance movie and it certainly wasn't a corny predictable movie. I loved how they showed the movie out of sequence in way that wasn't confusing, but made sense. There was a lot of creativity in it, for example, the reality vs expectations scene. The end left me hopeful even though I wasn't appreciating Summer at that point.
My conclusion: Summer was cruel. Especially that last line she said to Tom on the park bench. But it made for a good story I suppose.I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

Blaahh. I've been involving myself in a lot of things lately and keeping busy. I shouldn't even be up right now because I have to wake up suuuuper early tomorrow but here I am.
Just got back from some friends' Christmas party. It's the first time in a long time that I laughed so hard and much that my throat hurt. I got to see some good friends that I haven't seen in a very long time. It's always nice to be reconnected with friends that meant so much to you in the past. I missed a lot of them. The theme of the party was "ugly sweaters" which are basically wool sweaters from the 80's and 90's. A few of us had to go through our parents' closets to find something to wear. It was a fun night and I'm so full from all the food! So much food, so little stomach. Some of the sweaters were hilarious too.
Last night my friend and I threw another Christmas party for the purpose of raising money for charity. Met quite a few new people. Actually, meeting new people is something I enjoy. I've been to a lot of events since I was 13 in which I've had to get out there and just introduce myself to people. I've met a lot of great people that way. For that reason, I've never been awkward when meeting new people.
I still have quite a few events coming up as well before the year is over - a lot of events that I've organized for groups or events that I'm involved in with organizing. There may only be twelve days left in this year, but I feel that a lot will still happen before then.
In my case, 2009 was a year filled with a lot of personal growth. I'm a lot more grown up now than I was at the beginning of the year.
I'm excited for the year 2010. I have a lot I want to achieve and a lot of goals I plan on making happen. One of those goals is to be more involved with charities and volunteer work. I only started a bit near the end of this year, but I really want to spend more time next year.
Anyway, hope everyone's holidays are going well so far. I wish you all a very merry Christmas.

Lately
Life has just been grand. Isn't it nice doing things, being busy enough and feeling useful? It is indeed. This past month, I've realized some dreams that I have. The direction that I saw my life going in changed this summer due to some seemingly unfortunate circumstances. Don't, however, think that I meant that in a cup is half-empty kind of way. I didn't foresee this particular situation that I'm in coming to be, but because what happened has happened, I have realized some things about myself, about my life, and about what's really important to me. One of those things is to start a charity.
My good friend and I have committed to starting a charity in our community that we'll officially launch in 2010. The possibility of it even coming to be wouldn't have happened if that seemingly unfortunate circumstance didn't occur. If there's one important and huge thing I've learned this year, it's that good things can come out of bad things. A lot of amazing and eye opening lessons and experiences have resulted. In establishing and maintaining a charity, there is a lot of legal paperwork involved, a lot of reading, a lot of work, a lot of steps, and a lot of getting the word out about our cause. But I'm not dreading it in the least. I'm anticipating a lot of roadblocks and challenges up ahead, but my friend and I committed to it and made it clear that we have to stick with it if we're going to start on this venture.
Reading about all the steps and requirements needed to establish a charity
First official charity meeting! Woo hoo!! Location: A table at McDonald's.
A fancier place is the least of our priorities right now, haha.I'm excited for what's to come. I'm willing to get through the hurdles and all that stuff. I'm keeping busy which I recently realized is a good thing that I like.
I'll continue to blog about this, about the hurdles, about the achievements and all of that. I'm excited for where things will lead.

Do you look your age?
I certainly don't. I'm 22. However, upon asking several people I've met for the first time how old they think I am, the answers tend to be within the range of 15-18. For one, I'm not well endowed in the height department and I suppose I have a young looking face. A look of surprise usually appears on the faces of the sixteen year olds who find out my real age. I tell them, "No, I'm not in high school. I just graduated from University."
Do I look sixteen to you?All in all, really, it doesn't matter that much to me how old I look. I'm sure that when I'm older, I'll very much appreciate the fact that I look younger. Actually, looking at my mom, she looks about 10-15 years younger than her actual age. You should see the look of delight that crosses her face when friends tell her she looks "so young."What about you? Do you look your age? Do you prefer looking older or younger?
